Play the Flute is a story about a youth group and a new pastor’s desire that the youth in the group take the Bible seriously. Through the film there are a number of good messages about death, truth, dating, marriage, and a number of other relevant topics for youth. Through it all a number of good things are taught: the importance of memory verses, the value of regular reading of God’s Word, the importance of doing what is right even if it causes you to suffer, repenting for what is wrong and much more.
There are a number of characters in this film and most youth can easily identify with at least one of them, so it is easy to understand what is going on. I also enjoyed to see how the youth pastor handled his struggles and how the youth grew and change in their understanding of God and their behavior in general.
We watched this video at the 2024 Boy’s camp and it fit in very well with the messages at the camp and really reinforced what was taught.
Like all videos, there are a few things that need to be clarified, but I still highly recommend you watch it and learn from it also.

I just glanced down at the reviews of the movie on the channel and here is a review I agreed with:
Some Christian movies have a good message but are are not very convincing.. This one had the most genuinely good acting I have seen in a long time. What an inspirational actor the person who played Brandon. If only more young people could be exposed to the lessons that this movie teaches, then the world would surely benefit and inspire more love between people, especially those that have lost their way.
