The people behind Chejeji.com are a group of Christians who desire to be a light (“chejeji”) to our district of Ikelenge, those who have originated from here, and also anyone else who is interested in God’s Word.
As you can see, our logo is made of of a candle and the word “Chejeji”. The inspiration for the logo comes from Matthew 5:14-16 which says:
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16
From these words the Lord Jesus makes it clear that those who have believed on Him and are His disciples should be a candle or light for Him in this world. For this reason we have chosen the candle as a symbol for this corner of the internet where we are seeking to share the light of the Word of God to those who visit here.
Our desire is for people who visit Chejeji.com to:
- learn more of the Word of God
- grow in their understanding of God’s Word
- have a place where they can find wholesome music to listen to or videos to watch
- engage in the forum so that they can have their questions answered
- give hope and guidance to those struggling with life
