“Self – When you’ve tried everything” is based on a true story of a man’s journey from addiction to freedom from addiction. Joshua Wright, actor, director, author and who this story is based on, has broken this short video into two parts: Part 1 is a short clip of the Joshua’s journey and Part 2 shows Joshua discussing his journey in length and explaining what worked and what didn’t work – truly only by God’s grace can someone truly beat addiction.
We watched this with the youth in our Bible study group and really enjoyed it. Part 2 has many Bible verses which guide the discussion, so we went through it slowly, stopping regularly to read through the verses and discuss them as a group. Except for one short sentence which needs some clarification so people don’t think that a believer can loose their salvation, the content is very good and I would recommend people watch it so that they can be helped or can help others in the struggle against any kind of addiction.
